According to the "Freiburger Nachrichten", the 37-year-old defenseman left the game against the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers early.
Raphael Diaz took a puck to his chin and was subsequently unable to continue to play. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to return to the lineup of HC Fribourg-Gottéron straight away or whether he will miss some time.
Diaz has appeared in 28 regular-season games for the Dragons, recording nine assists. On average, he is on the ice for 19:41 minutes per game.
