The 31-year-old defenseman suffered a lower-body injury in the game against the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.
Juuso Riikola underwent an MRI today, and the nature of his injury will keep him out of the SCL Tigers' lineup for about six weeks.
Riikola just started his second season with the Langnau-based team. Last season, he recorded four goals and 21 assists in 42 regular-season games.
