The 28-year-old defenseman tore his Achilles tendon while training in Sweden. He recently underwent surgery.

The surgery was successful, but Lawrence Pilut is expected to be out of Lausanne HC's lineup for seven to nine months. As his recovery process will take some time, LHC Is looking for another import defenseman to replace him during his absence.
Pilut played his first season in Switzerland for Lausanne HC. In 52 regular-season games, he recorded five goals and 16 assists. He added four goals and eight assists in 19 postseason games to his tally.
