Medical Report

The two Lions both suffered injuries during the international break - one of them will be sidelined for longer.

Ahti Oksanen

Ahti Oksanen was shoved head-first into the boards during the Karjala Cup game between Finland and Czechia. As a result, he will be unavailable to Lausanne HC for a while. "I am waiting for him to return to Switzerland to get a more precise diagnosis" head coach Geoff Ward is cited by "Blick". "But we are not talking about an absence that can be counted in days, but in weeks. In the plural, weeks.

On the more positive news front regarding Lausanne, Fabian Heldner - also injured last week - was able to practice normally today. He might even be in the lineup for tomorrow's Champions Hockey League duel with Genève-Servette HC. Lukas Frick and Jason Fuchs should also be ready to return soon.

In an interview with "Le Matin", John Fust added an update regarding Michael Raffl. He will return soon, however, no specific date was mentioned. Thanks to Raffl's comeback nearing, Fust sees no need to add a seventh import to compensate for Ahti Oksanen's absence.
