Lower body - SCB's Benjamin Baumgartner out for quite a while

SC Bern will be without Benjamin Baumgartner for about two-and-a-half months. Suffering a lower-body injury in the Bears' game against the Kölner Haie, the 25-year-old has undergone surgery and is unlikely to suit up again this season.

Baumgartner played 26 games this winter, recording ten goals and five assists. He only just returned from injury in mid-January after being sidelined for two months.

Furthermore, a friendly game between the ZSC Lions and SC Bern, scheduled for tomorrow, has to be cancelled due to a lot of sick and injured players on Bern's side.
