The ZSC Lions lost to HC Fribourg-Gottéron 3-4 in a shootout. As per the newspaper, the Lions had to play without defenseman Mikko Lehtonen and forward Vinzenz Rohrer.
The Dragons, for their part, were not able to count on their captain Julien Sprunger. All three players missed the game due to illness.
Lehtonen, who is part of Finland's Olympic roster, recorded 21 points (seven goals) in 39 games. Rohrer, for his part, put up nine points (three goals) in 32 games. Sprunger, for his part, appeared in 42 games and recorded ten goals and 14 assists.
