According to the "Thurgauer Zeitung", the Swede should be able to return for the home game against EHC Olten on January 16.
HC Thurgau
Victor Backman missed the last two games of HC Thurgau (including yesterday's Swiss Cup semifinal against HC Sierre) due to medical-related absences. His absence from Thurgau's lineup, however, should not be long, as he may slot back for HCT's next game on January 16.
Backman leads the team in points per game with an average of 0.82, as a result of eight goals and 10 assists in 22 games.
