As "Blick" reports, the 27-year-old forward twisted his right leg and foot after a hit by HC Ajoie's Jannick Fischer at the end of the first period last night.

Rudolfs Balcers then tried to put weight on it but was unable to do so. He had to be helped off the ice. As the ZSC Lions now inform, the Latvian broke his ankle. Already having undergone surgery, he will be sidelined until January 2025.
Balcers has appeared in nine games for the Lions this season, recording three goals and four assists.
