EHC Basel's Liniger provisionally suspended, HCFG's Schmid fined

The 22-year-old forward is under investigation for a hit to the head of one of EHC Visp's players in the 37th minute of play of Sunday's game. Proceedinga have been initiated against Liniger.

Sandro Schmid, for his part, has been fined CHF 2,000 for feigning a foul in Game 5 of the playoff quarterfinal series between HC Fribiurg-Gottéron and SC Bern.
