In the third period of yesterday's game between EHC Kloten and SC Bern Axel Simic was given a major and game misconduct penalty for boarding Fabian Ritzmann. In agreement with the recommendation of the Department of Player Safety, the Single Judge has decided to inflict a one-game suspension on Simic. The forward will also have to pay a fine of CHF 1'500.-.
