Due to a similar violation of IIHF Rule 39/40 (abuse of officials), Muggli is suspended for five games, while Fohrler will have to skip at least two games.
Having skipped already one game, Tim Muggli will have to serve four additional games and pay a fine of CHF 3'000.-. On February 15, the young forward of EV Zug hit one of the officials during a scuffle. The video can be found here.
For his part, proceedings have been initiated against Tobias Fohrler. The defender of HC Ambrì-Piotta is provisionally suspended for the next two games but will possibly receive a longer suspension depending on the outcome of the investigation.
