The defenseman has received further disciplinary action for violating IIHF rule 39/40.
On February 21, HC Ambrì-Piotta's Tobias Fohrler was the active participant in an abuse-of-officials incident. He was ejected from the game and was provisionally suspended. The proceedings opened against him resulted in a four-game suspension, half of which the defenseman has already served. In addition, Fohrler has to pay a fine of CHF 6,500.-.
