A violation of IIHF rule 39/40 has led to consequences for the forward, but he is eligible to suit up for his team again.

EV Zug's Jan Kovář has been suspended one game for violating IIHF rule 39/40 (abuse of officials), an incident that occurred in Act 2 of the quarterfinal series between Zug and SC Bern. The Czech has already served his game, as he was provisionally suspended. In addition, he has to pay a fine of CHF 3,000.-.
