Yesterday evening, the Slovak checked Hannes Björninen in the head/neck area during overtime of the game against the SCL Tigers.
Tomáš Tatar has been found guilty of a "reckless and unnecessary action, albeit not overly forceful," as his opponent was lying on the ice in a defenseless position. Following this disciplinary sanction, Tomáš Tatar will have to sit out Tuesday's game against HC Fribourg-Gottéron. Additionally, the forward of EV Zug has been fined CHF 2'500.-.
