Proceedings have been initiated against the 22-year-old forward of the Dragons because of an incident with an official.
The incident took place during the game against EHC Biel on January 17. Schmid last missed a game as a member of HC Fribourg-Gottéron on January 3rd, 2020 against HC Lugano. He played in 171 consecutive regular-season and playoff games.
