Suspensions for Visp's Andy Ritz and Olten's Rihards Melnalksnis

Whereas Ritz will have to sit the next game out, Melnalksnis will have to skip at least one game while the league investigates his actions.

Andy Ritz has been suspended one game for slew footing Josselin Dufey in yesterday's Game 1 of the semifinal series of the Swiss League playoffs between EHC Visp and HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. Additionally, he will have to pay a fine of CHF 500.-.

As for Rihards Melnalksnis, he has been provisionally suspended for one game while proceedings have been initiated against him. The forward of EHC Olten checked Timo Bünzli of the GCK Lions into the boards yesterday evening. Melnalksnis will thus miss at least Game 2 of the semifinal series.
