Genève-Servette HC drew 2-2 in the second leg against Bremerhaven, therefore winning the series with an aggregate score of 6-2, while ZSC Lions won 5-4 at home against Eisbären Berlin, bringing the aggregate score to 9-7 in their favor. The two clubs will meet in the semifinal (mid-January), meaning that there will be one Swiss team in the Champions Hockey League final.
The other two semifinalists are Sweden's Färjestad and Czechia's Sparta Prague.
