The German forward is moving back to his youth club. Brian O'Neill and Todd Woodcroft are out in Zug as well.

Today, EV Zug announced the termination of their contract with Marc Michaelis. "We have come to the conclusion that we want to take a different approach to our squad planning", team manager Reto Kläy was cited in their press release. Shortly thereafter, the DEL's Adler Mannheim announced they had signed the German forward to a multi-year deal.

Michaelis was a member of Zug for this past season, having joined them from the SCL Tigers. In his youth, the now 28-year-old was part of Mannheim's junior system.

Zug also announced that assistant coach Todd Woodcroft and forward Brian O'Neill would no longer be part of the team next season.
