The forward played the majority of his professional career in the KHL. At the end of January this year, he then moved from Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg to HC Lugano to close out the season.
Curtis Valk did, however, only appear in three games for the Bianconeri, recording one goal and two assists. Lugano announced in mid-April that he would not be part of their roster in the 2026-27 season.
