The 26-year-old defenseman returns to the Adler Mannheim. He used to play junior hockey for them from 2011 to 2013.

After nine years in Switzerland, Tobias Fohrler thus moves back to Germany. He has signed a three-year contract with the Adler Mannheim.

It had been clear for a while that Fohrler would leave HC Ambrì-Piotta. "Blick" and "HeShootsHeScoores" already reported reported at the end of November that the defender would play in Germany next season. HSHS even revealed that Mannheim would be Fohrler's next destination.

Fohrler has played four season for EV Zug's organization and five seasons for HC Ambrì-Piotta during his tenure in Switzerland. This past season, he recorded one goal and one assist in 44 regular-season games for the Biancoblù.
