As rumored for a while, the 32-year-old forward has agreed to long-term contract with the Czech team, valid until the end of the 2029-30 season.

HC Davos bid farewell to Matěj Stránský in mid-March, but it was not revealed at the time where the forward was headed. Stránský joined HC Davos in the 2021-22 season and was even named captain of the team last season.
He recorded 28 goals and 25 assists in 46 regular-season games for HC Davos this past season. He added seven goals and two assists to his tally in the postseason.
