The forward is still signed for another year, but he could already be on his way home to Czechia this summer.

Dominik Kubalik - back to his home country?

Monika Majer / RvS.Media

EV Zug acquired Dominik Kubalik a year ago, equipping the forward with a deal valid until 2027. He might not be around for the second half anymore, though - there is interest from his youth team, HC Škoda Plzeň.

"I spoke with his agent. There is some possibility here, even though he still has a contract in Switzerland", team manager Martin Straka is cited in an interview on the club's website. "I have been looking into the financial framework, so we know if we can even afford it, and it does not matter whether it would be now or in a year."

So, if Kubalik decides to honor his contract with Zug, he might at least already have a possible home for next year, it appears.
