Genève-Servette HC announed in early March that Antti Raanta would not return to Geneva next season. "Hockeynews.se" reported that Linköping HC was interested in acquiring the goaltender but Raanta seems to have decided to return to Finland.
Raanta is a product of Lukko's organization and thus returns to his former junior team. Team manager Kalle Sahlstedt is happy to have him back: "It's great that Antti is returning home. "Ana" has of course had a great career so far and now the time was ripe and a return to Lukko was possible. We are confident that he will be one of the top goaltenders in the league next season."
In 24 regular-season games for the Grenats, Raanta has posted a .902 save percentage.
