Waving goodbye to Langnau: Harri Pesonen

Monika Majer / RvS.Media

Harri Pesonen's departure from the SCL Tigers was already announced in February. His destination, however, was not yet clear - reports indicated that it would be his youth team, JYP Jyväskylä. Today, the Liiga representative confirmed Pesonen's return to them, having signed a deal valid until 2028.

"Pesonen brings a winning culture to our team. He has experienced what it takes to win and has learned to live the life of a top-tier athlete during his career", JYP's team manager Simo Mälkiä states. "At 37, he is still in top shape and wants to come to JYP to win."

The last time Pesonen played for Jyväskylä was during the 2011-12 season. He recorded 27 goals and 19 assists in 74 games for them back then. The following summer, he moved overseas to join the New Jersey Devils.
