The 32-year-old forward would thus return to the team for which he played his first professional hockey games.
According to iSport.cz, Richard Pánik is close to finalizing a deal with HC Oceláři Třinec. Pánik already told the same source back in April that a return to Třinec is indeed an option for him.
This season, the forward appeared in 19 regular-season games for Lausanne HC, recording four goals and five assists. Pánik joined LHC in mid-October. It was announced in mid-March that he would not return to the National League team for another season.
