Roman Karaffa, who has a Swiss players' license and did not count against the import player contingent, has been playing in Switzerland since the 2014-15 season, when he became part of EHC Biel's junior system: "I'm really looking forward to Košice. I am coming back to Slovakia after 10 years. It's a new challenge for me and I can't wait for the season."
This past season, the forward suited up for HC Sierre, recording one goal and four assists in 42 regular-season games. He also appeared in four postseason games for the Swiss League team.
