Despite his agent denying that the forward would be leaving Switzerland this summer, he might be headed home to Umeå.

Last month, it was reported that Lucas Wallmark had asked to leave HC Fribourg-Gottéron after this season. Claes Elefalk, his agent, then had stated that the forward would not be leaving Switzerland, even though there was interest from SHL teams. However, the 30-year-old might be headed back to his home country nonetheless, as "Expressen" writes.

According to their sources, Wallmark has agreed to a long-term contract with Umeå-based IF Björklöven. Currently battling with BIK Karlskoga in the final of the HockeyAllsvenskan, it would be valid regardless of whether Björklöven is promoted to the SHL or stays in the second league. For Wallmark, it would be a return home to his youth club and birthplace.

"We never comment on rumors", Claes Elefalk is cited.
