SHL

As was reported yesterday already, the former EV Zug-forward will return to his junior team in Sweden.

"Calle kommer hem", Frölunda titled their announcement - Calle comes home. Carl Klingberg has signed a two-year deal with the SHL-team. It will be his first time back with them and in Sweden since 2011 when he left for North America.

"This feels fantastic", the forward states. "I have listened around, honestly, but when I weighed what my heart and brain said, it was Frölunda that weighed the heaviest."

After his time in the NHL and (mostly) AHL, Klingberg found his way to Switzerland via the KHL. In 2016, he joined Zug. 365 games, 107 goals, 118 assists and two championship titles later, he is returning home to Frölunda on a two-year deal.
