Not in the plans of his last team, Lausanne HC, Haapala has found his new employer.

For the first time in his career, Henrik Haapala will play in Sweden. The 30-year-old has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Malmö Redhawks. Last season, he suited up with Genève-Servette HC for about a month and then joined Lausanne HC in October.
