The 28-year-old defenseman is out for the remainder of the season and his contract with Lausanne HC will expire in spring. It remains to be seen where he will end up playing next.

The doors of HV71 would be wide open for him, as general manager Björn Liljander tells the Jönköpings-Posten: "It is clear that all players with HV-heart out in the world are good hockey players and we will always be interested in players who have left. The day they want to return home, we hope to be their natural choice."

Liljander also confirms to the newspaper that he has remained in contact with Lawrence Pilut since he left HV71. He was, however, not willing to disclose whether the defender also would be interested in returning: "I really have no comment on that. What is said stays between us."
