The Swede will move back to his home country and take over the reigns of one of his former clubs.

Mikael Håkanson spent the last ten years of his on-ice career with Linköping HC. After he hung up his skates (in 2012), the Swede eventually moved to coaching, starting as assistant with Djurgårdens IF. In 2021, SC Bern secured his services for the last few seasons, but this summer, he will be heading back to his home country. Linköping has hired him on a two-year deal, as head coach.
