The son of HC Davos' legend Josef Marha has signed a short-term contract with the Czech team, valid until the end of January. The contract includes an option for an extension until the end of the season and even one for an additional season.
According to Aleš Kmoníček, Mountfield HK's team manager, they had been in contact with Šimon before the start of the season, but EHC Chur refused to release him. The Swiss League team and the 22-year-old forward parted ways yesterday.
Marha has played for several teams in Switzerland, but has also gained experience internationally by playing for his country's junior nationalteams. Marha was in his second season with EHC Chur. In 19 games this season, he recorded two goals and seven assists.
