With at least one nominee for each category, Switzerland and the National League are well represented in the European Hockey Awards. EHC Kloten's David Reinbacher will battle for Young Player of the Year with Leo Carlsson, Leevi Meriläinen, Aku Räty, and William Wallinder.

For their part, the head coaches of the two finalists of the National League, Genève-Servette HC's Jan Cadieaux and EHC Biel's Antti Törmänen, have been nominated for Coach of the Year. They will contend for the award with Jörgen Jönsson, Tommi Niemelä, and Jussi Tapola.

The award for Club of the Year sees National League champion Genève-Servette HC as one of the five nominees. The other four are the Belfast Giants, the Växjö Lakers, Tappara Tampere, and Oceláři Třinec.

Finally, two veterans of the National League have been chosen as candidates for the Warrior Career Excellence Award. SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' Roman Červenka and GSHC's Valtteri Filppula will compete with Joakim Lindström, Tomáš Plekanec, and Patrick Reimer.

Voting is now possible on the website of the Alliance of European Hockey Clubs, where additional details about the nominees can be found. The awards will be presented on June 13.
