According to the Bieler Tagblatt, the 39-year-old defenseman will undergo shoulder surgery on Monday.
Robin Grossmann has been out of EHC Biel's lineup since March of last season due to his shoulder problems. He has to undergo another surgery this week.
Grossmann appeared in 43 regular-season games for the Seealanders last season, recording one goal and six assists.
