According to the Berner Zeitung, the 30-year-old forward suffered an undisclosed injury in the first period of the game between the SCL Tigers and the ZSC Lions.

Hannes Björninen collided with his teammate Phil Baltisberger. While he was able to get up after a while, he left the ice only on one leg.
He will undergo further medical exams on Tuesday. In 40 games for the Tigers, he has recorded ten goals and 13 assists.
