Medical Report

The 34-year-old forward was plagued by knee issues last season and underwent surgery in March.

While Nino Niederreiter fought his way back and made his comeback with the Winnipeg Jets in April and also played in the World Championship, he was only now able to properly focus on stabilizing his right knee again.

The forward focused on rebuilding muscles in the offseason and used the Blood-Flow-Restriction method in order to not put too much of a strain on his knee. He also changed the length of his hockey stick.

As Niederreiter tells the Bündner Tagblatt, all these changes had a positive impact: "I'm pretty close to 100 percent again. My knee does not hurt any more and I can basically do everything again."
