As Zaugg further writes, three candidates are on the short list for the position: Paolo Duca, Patrick von Gunten, and Alex Chatelain. While the latter has not worked in hockey since 2022, when he stepped down from his position in Langenthal, there are rumours that he will be proposed as the successor to Lars Weibel as Director of Sport at the SIHF.
Chatelain worked for SC Bern's organization from 2014-2021 and then signed with SC Langenthal for a bit more than one season.
