Patrick Fischer has been chosen as Coach of the Year at the Sports Awards for the second time in his career, following his first win in 2018 when he also led the national team to a silver medal in Copenhagen. Fischer contended the award to Christoph Dieckmann (beach volleyball) and Helmut Krug (alpine skiing).

All the other hockey candidates were not as successful as Fischer. Granit Xhaka was voted MVP of the Year over Kevin Fiala or Alina Müller, while the men's national team was beaten by the beach volleyball duo Nina Brunner and Tanja Hüberli.
