The 30-year-old forward will suit up for HC Franches-Montagnes for the next two seasons. He will play hockey at the amateur level from here on out.

"I’m really looking forward to getting back to a more fun, amateur style of hockey—even though the level of play is very high—and especially to reuniting with friends, many of whom I’ve played with throughout my career," Steven Macquat tells "Radio RFJ".
Steven Macquat played several seasons for HC Ajoie before joining HC La Chaux-de-Fonds at the end of the 2023-24 season. This past season, he recorded two goals and three assists in 31 regular-season games for HCC.
