The federation is backing the club’s fundraising campaign and a league-wide solidarity initiative following severe damage to the Eishalle Hirslen.

A severe hailstorm last Friday caused extensive damage to the Eishalle Hirslen in Bülach, with the roof punctured in numerous places and the arena currently closed. The situation has major consequences for EHC Bülach, affecting its MyHockey League team, youth sides and overall club operations, with hundreds of training sessions and numerous home games having to be reorganized.

The SIHF has now announced that it is in contact with EHC Bülach and the relevant authorities and is supporting the club’s fundraising campaign, which begins on September 5. The funds will be used to finance additional ice time and necessary transportation so that the club’s teams can continue their practice and competition schedules as far as possible. In addition, MyHockey League clubs will launch a solidarity campaign on September 19 to support EHC Bülach during the difficult period.
