Morgan Samuelsson played most of his professional hockey career in Sweden. After three seasons in Germany, the Swede joined HC Thurgau in the 1999-00 season - his first team in Switzerland.
Thanks to an excellent performance at the Spengler Cup with HC Davos, Samuelsson caught the eye of the ZSC Lions and joined them at the beginning of 2001. Later that year, he scored the championship-winning goal for the Lions in overtime of Game 7 against HC Lugano in the playoffs.
After his retirement in 2002, he became a coach, coaching teams like HC Sierre and the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, and followed that career path until 2012. He then served as an analyst on Teleclub's hockey broadcasting team, but also as a shooting coach for teams like Davos, Zug or the Ochsner Hockey Academy.
