Patrick Fischer has called up 26 players for this year's edition of the Karjala Cup. "The roster includes a large part of the last World Championship team," the head coach notes. "We want to get back into the World Championship spirit and pick up where we left off before the summer."
One new face will be traveling with the squad - Marco Lehmann. A member of SC Bern, 24-year-old the forward went through various junior national team iterations and has now gotten his first call for the men's one.
This coming Monday, the team will leave for Tampere. Their first game is on Thursday, November 9, versus the host country Finland, followed by the Swedes on Saturday, November 11, and last, but not least, Czechia on Sunday, November 12.
