Enzo Corvi has informed head coach Patrick Fischer that he will not play anymore for the Swiss national team, "Blick" reports. “I had to make a decision for my health and listen to my body," the 32-year-old explains his choice to retire from the Nati right before the Olympic Games in Milan and the World Championship on home soil.

"I explained to him [Patrick Fischer] that I need as long a summer as possible to properly prepare myself and my back for the season." Corvi is currently on an expiring contract with HC Davos but wishes to continue playing: "I feel better now than I have in the last two years. [...] The start of the season gives me a good feeling".
