For the 22-year-old, it is the first time he got the call for the Swiss men's national team.
Head coach Patrick Fischer has called up Iñaki Baragano to participate in the early preparation for the 2024 IIHF World Championship. For the defenseman of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, it will be the first experiences with the men's national team. During his teens, Baragano did suit up for various junior national teams.
The defenseman just completed his third full season with the Lakers in the National League, suiting up 45 times for them.
