Finland starts Worlds preparation with three National League players

Similar to Italy, another trio from the Ticino is participating in their country's Worlds preparation. In Finland's case, it is HC Ambrì-Piotta's Jesse Virtanen, as well as HC Lugano's Valtteri Pulli and Jesper Peltonen. For the latter, it is the first ever time being called up by any Lejonat squad, in junior or men's hockey.

With several Finnish players still engaged in the National League playoffs, it remains to be seen how many "Swiss" representatives will end up on their country's roster for the 2025 IIHF World Championship.
