Sweden will face Denmark twice on April 12 and 13. For these games, head coach Sam Hallam also sets his trust in four players from the National League: Marcus Sörensen, Jacob de la Rose (both HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Oscar Lindberg (SC Bern), and Dennis Rasmussen (HC Davos).
Czechia, for their part, will head into the first preparatory camp on April 8, before the team travels to Germany, where they will face the German team twice on April 13 and 15. For these games, also Filip Chlapík, Michael Špaček (both HC Ambrì-Piotta), and Michal Jordán (SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers) have been called up.
In the weeks leading up to the World Championship, head coach Kari Jalonen expects five additional players to join the Czech national team, among them Rapperswil-Jona's top scorer Roman Červenka.
