Trio from the National League called up by Italy

The Italian national team is playing at the Divison 1A World Championship, which takes place in late April and early May. Three members engaged in Switzerland have been called up for the preparation. These are former HC Ambrì-Piotta- and future EHC Kloten-netminder Davide Fadani, his no-longer teammate with the Biancoblù Diego Kostner, and Marco Zanetti from cantonal rival HC Lugano.

Other National League representatives are unavailable to the Italian squad due to injury (Ambrì's Tommaso De Luca, Lugano's Giovanni Morini) or playoff engagement (Zurich's Alessandro Segafredo).
