Preparation for the 2025 IIHF World Championship is slowly starting. As part of their title defense mission, Czech national team head coach Radim Rulík has called up 28 players for their first two preparation games against Germany. One of the 28 is engaged in Switzerland - EV Zug's Daniel Voženílek.
In 52 National League games this past season, the forward recorded 16 goals and 20 assists.
With some Czech players still occupied in the playoffs, such as Lausanne HC's David Sklenička as well as HC Davos' Matěj Stránský and Filip Zadina, it remains to be seen how many Swiss-based ones will end up in the final selection for Worlds.
