The 23-year-old forward will suit up for the Swiss team at the Karjala Cup next week.
According to "Blick", Valentin Nussbaumer replaces Denis Malgin who will not be able to play in the tournament due to a minor injury. The Swiss team will gather on Monday in order to set off to Finland.
Nussbaumer had a good start to the season and has already surpassed his scoring total of the past two seasons. In 21 regular-season games, he has recorded six goals and nine assists.
