After the initial standing ovation to remember former president Geo Mantegazza, who recently departed at 95, the Hockey Club Lugano SA presented their balances: operating income was CHF 22'267'163 and operating expenses were CHF 22'149'321. Considering financial costs, extraordinary events, and taxes, the fiscal year closed with a loss of CHF 41'561.
The board of directors completed the authorized capital increase of CHF 1'500'000 within two years. Moreover, board members Vicky Mantegazza (president), Andy Näser and Gabriele Zanzi (vice presidents), Claudio Broggini, Fabio Regazzi, Sascha Schlub and Stephan Lichtsteiner were confirmed for a new term.
On a separate note, today HC Lugano also informed their fans that tomorrow's game against HC Ajoie will be dedicated to Geo Mantegazza with a special choreography a few minutes before the puck-drop. Mantegazza, who passed away on October 10, was president of the Bianconeri from 1978 to 1991.
